Working Principle Giemsa buffer pH 6.8 is a buffer solution used in staining procedures using Giemsa stain, especially for the examination of cells under the microscope. Giemsa stain is a widely used dye to make the structural features of cells more apparent and is especially preferred for staining blood cells and parasites. The pH of the solution is adjusted to 6.8, which is the pH range in which Giemsa stain performs best.
