Working Principle Leukocyte count solution is a laboratory test used to determine the number of leukocytes (white blood cells). The working principle of color is to stain the leukocytes and make them easier to see under the microscope.
Warnings, Precautions, Recommendations Danger. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. DO NOT induce vomiting. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
Application
Theoretical Results
With small magnification, all leukocytes in the large square area are counted. The leukocytes on the left and upper lines are also included in the count. However, the leukocytes on the right and lower lines are not included in the count. The total number of leukocytes found is multiplied by 100. The result gives the total number of leukocytes in 1 mm3.
