Purpose It is used as a cell and tissue stain with antiseptic effect. It is a solution used in histological studies, especially for staining elastic fibers and some other structures.
Ingredients Resorcinol, Fucsin, Boric acid, 96% Ethanol, Phenol, Acetone.
Working Principle Resorcin Provides staining of elastic fibers and some collagen fibers.
Fucsin: Used to stain nucleic acids and some other structures in tissue samples.
Warnings, Precautions, Recommendations Flammable liquid and vapor. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Suspected of causing genetic damage. Keep away from heat/sparks/flame/hot surfaces. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.
