Purpose |
Designed for general laboratory use. It is used for cytologic cancers and cycle diagnosis. |
Ingredients |
Eosin Y, Phosphotungstic acid, Methanol, Ethylene glycol, Acetic acid, Light green SF |
Working Principle |
Papanicolaou EA-50 Stain is a type of cellular examination stain. This stain is used in a screening test known as a Papanicolaou (Pap) smear test. The Pap smear test is a test for the early detection of cervical cancer and other reproductive diseases. EA-50 refers to a mixture of eosin-azur-eosin, a type of stain. This staining method is used to make cells better visible under a microscope. The structure and morphology of the cells are highlighted and examined with this stain. In this way, precancerous changes or other pathological conditions can be detected. |

Application
|
Fixation
Vaginal smears are spread evenly on a slide. Air drying is usually not applied. Instead, it is fixed with 95% ethanol for 15-20 minutes.
1. Immersed 10 times in distilled water (HYDRATION)
2.Stain with 10 drops of “Hematoxylin Stain, Harris” (GBL-2828) for 2-5 minutes.
3.Immersed 10 times in distilled water.
4.Cover with 10 drops of “Hydrochloric Acid Solution; 0.5%” for 1 minute.
5.If step 4 has been done, the mite is washed with distilled water for a long time (up to 5 minutes).
6.Cover with 10 drops of 95% ethyl alcohol for 1 minute (DEHYDRATION)
7.10 drops of “Orange G Dye (OG-6)” (GBL-2822) for 1.5-3 minutes.
8.10 drops covered with 95% ethyl alcohol for 1 minute. (This process is repeated 2 times.)
9.10 drops are kept in “Polychrome Stain (EA-50)” (GBL-2826) for 1.5-3 minutes.
10.10 drops are covered with 95% ethyl alcohol for 1 minute.
11.Wait for drying.
12.After drying, it is immersed in xylene 20 times.
13.Cover with entallan / covering medium before xylene dries. |
