Purpose |
As a general tissue stain, it is used to differentiate nucleus and stoplasm. |
Ingredients |
Eosin Y, Prezervatives |
Working Principle |
Eosin Y stain (0.5% in water) is a type of biological stain and a chemical commonly used in histology and cytology laboratories. Eosin is an acidic stain and is used to stain cytoplasm, some tissue components and some organelles. |

Application
|
-Initial preparation of deparaffinization solutions and dehydrated solutions facilitates ease of work.
-The slides are removed by thoroughly draining in distilled water.
-Hematoxylin Harris; Acetic Acid (GBL_2828) is immersed in the dye pot. Leave for 4 minutes.
-Remove excess dye by running the slides under tap water for 2 minutes.
-Tissues are differentiated by dipping the slides in and out of Acid Alcohol solution.
-The slides are quickly held under tap water to stop the differentiation.
-The slides are kept in diluted Ammonia water to blue the tissues.
-The slides are kept under tap water until the tissue color becomes clear blue.
The slides stained with -Hematoxylin Harris; Acetic Acid (GBL_2828) are immersed in Eosin Y Stain 0.5%; Water (GBL_2466). Leave for 1 minute.
-The staining process is finished by washing the slides under tap water in tap water.
-The stained slides are dehydrated starting with low concentrations of 70%, 95% and 100% alcohol and allowed to dry in an oven. |
